9 December     Winter Lecture: William McKeown

In association with the exhibition of works by the prominent Irish artist William McKeown presents an illustrated lecture on his iconic practice of monochrome painting, watercolor and installation. February      Magazine Launch: BOULEVARD MAGENTA

Boulevard Magenta, a new publication project by the Irish Museum of modern Art, will be a six-monthly magazine including contributions by leading artists, composers, writers and poets worldwide. The first issue of Boulevard Magenta, scheduled to appear in February 2009, will include contributions by writers David Mitchell, Colm Tóibín, André Aciman; poets Derek Mahon, Jose Carlos Llop, John Ashbery, Seamus Heaney, Luis Antonio de Villena, Adam Zagajewski; artists Francesco Clemente, Sean Scully, Nalini Malani, Miquel Barceló, Terry Winters; composer Kevin Volans; designers Future Systems, as well as an interview with writer Czesław Miłosz by curator Hans Ulrich Obrist and artist Philippe Parreno. 3 March     Launch of 2009 IMMA Programme and Private View of Hughie O'Donoghue

The Minister of Arts Sports and Tourisim, Martin Cullen TD, will announce the 2009 IMMA Programme. Members’ are also invited to the opening of an exhibition to mark the major donation of some 30 works by the internationally renowned British-born painter Hughie O’Donoghue to IMMA by the American art collector Craig Baker. 6 March  Private View: James Coleman

The Chairperson and Board of IMMA have pleasure in inviting you to the opening of an exhibition, by internationally acclaimed Irish artist James Coleman. A collaboration between three of Dublin’s leading cultural venues, the exhibition will take place at IMMA, Project Arts Centre and Royal Hibernian Academy. 28 March   Champagne Brunch: Alexander Calder Jewellery
